Originating from inside Karl Elsener's cutler workshop in 1884, Victorinox stands for quality, functionality, innovation & iconic design & has done so for more than 130 years! The term 'Swiss Army Knife' was coined by American soldiers after World War II due to the difficulty in pronouncing its German name. By 1945, the Swiss Army Knife becomes known all over the world. US soldiers buy it in large quantities & it becomes a popular souvenir to take home.
