Blue color due to a surface thermal treatment: temporary protection against oxidation; no non-stick coating. Blued iron undergoes a seasoning process, it gets darker and naturally non-stick the more it is used. Extremely robust tray: remains perfectly flat.

This DeBuyer 8" Force Blue is our everyday egg/omelette/pancake pan. Fried eggs slide off this pan. Use it for grilled cheese, browning pita bread, slice of breakfast ham, or hash browns, tater-tots, etc.
Durable and hardwearing workhorse, holds its shape, no warping at all. Easy to clean. Scrape it (if needed) with a metal spatula, wash it with dishsoap and heat it briefly on stove top to dry. Becomes non-stick with everyday use.
