Return Policy
We believe policies should not be many pages long and filled with legal mumbo-jumbo so we've tried to keep our return policy as simple as possible. If you're not sure on something, simply email us at help@chefsupplies.ca or give us a call at 1-888-976-6609.
Extended Holiday Return Policy
Any orders placed after November 1st are eligible for return up to January 15th. Shop with confidence and take advantage of our sales leading up to Christmas!
Need to Return Your Order?
Simply email us at help@chefsupplies.ca and include your order number, name, and reason for your return and we will email you back with return instructions. Make sure you make sure your order is eligible for return by checking the below return policy requirements.
30 Day Return Policy
Products sold by ChefSupplies.ca can be returned or exchanged within 30 days from the date of your in-store purchase, or 30 days from the date your online order is delivered.
Returned Products
Unopened products with factory seals intact are eligible for a full refund or exchange within 30 days.
Opened products that are unused are eligible for exchange or store credit within 30 days.
Opened products that are used are eligible for exchange or store credit within 30 days and subject to review by our return specialists.
All products must be returned in their original packaging to be eligible for return.
Original Method of Payment
Refunds will be issued to your original method of payment only.
Return Processing Time
Please allow up to two weeks to process your return once received.
Damaged Product
If your product was damaged in shipping please let us know upon receiving the merchandise and we will have a new replacement sent out immediately. Please note for some commercial products damaged in shipping a technician may replace the damaged parts in lieu of replacing the entire product.
Commercial Items
Commercial, Restaurant Supply, Refrigeration & Appliances as well as Heavy Items over 50lbs will be assessed a 25% restocking fee if returned but may be higher subject to a manufacturer's restocking fee and/or return policy. Additionally some manufacturers may not accept products for return which is outside of the control of Chef Supplies and will not be eligible for return.
Products must be unopened and unused. Shipping costs for returns are the customer's responsibility.
Prior to purchasing any commercial products we invite you to contact us for clarification if needed and we would be happy to confirm any manufacturer policies which may trump our policies prior to your purchase.
Espresso & Coffee Machines
Espresso & Coffee machines over $750 including but not limited to Delonghi, Jura, KitchenAid, Philips, Smeg, Rocket etc. are not eligible for return once opened. Due to the value of these items, if the item is malfunctioning or damaged the manufacturer may opt to repair the product to brand new condition and fix the failing part. The product will be shipped back to the customer at no additional cost.
Special Order Items
Special order items are not eligible for return.
Cosmetic Marks
From time to time minor cosmetic marks can occur on product packaging that do not affect the function of the product. In such a case, return requests will be handled on an individual basis at the discretion of ChefSupplies.ca.
Shipping Charges
Shipping charges are non-refundable unless you had to return the product because we've sent the product to you in error.
Send All Returns Prepaid Freight and Insured
No freight collect or COD returns will be accepted. Send all returns prepaid and insured for the current value of the product. ChefSupplies.ca will not be responsible for merchandise damaged or lost in shipping en route back to ChefSupplies.ca.
Open Box Products
All products in the open box section are not returnable and are final sale.
