    Good but not worth the price

    First let me say that I really like this coffee maker. It has all the characteristics I was looking for, thermal carafe, removable water container and also a moving filter tray. It is really beautiful and well built. The materials feel high quality.

    The brewing process is really fast and the machine is silent. However, since it brews in little time, I find the coffee always mild and not properly extracted, but maybe this is personal taste.

    My main complain concerns the carafe: it is impossible to pour all the coffee out of it. I know this is just a minor details but, considering the price point of the machine, you would think that there wouldn't be any questionable design choice. Also, the black plastic on the holder is not premium and doesn't "fit" well, which makes it inevitable for some water to get inside the holder (see photo).

    Another detail is that most high-end coffee makers out there usually offer two types of filter format, the conic and the square one, but Lotus only provides the square one, which is a pity for myself since I prefer to have the choice of the square one for larger brewing quantity.

    And last, for the price point they could have included a scoop!!! Maybe it is because the "Accu-Brew" function but it is something that makes a difference.

    If it was 400 dollars less than maybe it would be worth the price (and hopefully Chef Supplies could provide it with a reduced price).
