Description
Four separately fired 12" sections give this 48" radiant charbroiler 140,000 BTU/Hr and four working zones on one grate. Each section has a 35,000 BTU/Hr U-shaped burner, a standing pilot and a manual control valve of its own. Banquet kitchens and steakhouses that fire a full board at once are the operations that need this much width.
The 48" x 19.75" cooking surface sits over a stainless steel body, stainless on the inside as well, with double-walled sides and a front edge that stays cool to the touch. Grate height moves between two positions to suit thick cuts or lighter product, and the full-width crumb tray comes out for cleaning. Gas is a 0.75" NPT inlet at 4" WC on natural gas, with the propane kit shipped in the crate. The broiler weighs 230 lbs and needs 17" of clearance to combustibles, so check the counter and the hood line before it lands.
