Chef'n History
David Holcomb's career as a kitchen gadget inventor officially launches in 1982. For 35 years, our mission has been to make better tools so you can make better food. Some of our inventions include the GarlicMachine, PepperBall, and StemGem to name a few. Chef'n was acquired by Taylor Precision Products in 2014 and our family gets a little bit bigger.
Tasteful Ingenuity
In the Chef'n kitchen, gadgets don't require a battery or demand much counter space to make an impact. The smaller the tool, the bigger the punch. Simple, elegant, super functional...Tasteful Ingenuity. Our products are designed in-house by a creative bunch of Industrial Designers. Our talented bunch of right- and left-brained people to get the job done right here in Seattle.
Core Values
It is no secret, we love to cook. While we love the process and our bright little gadgets, we really love the result: the meal. Food has power. Power to lift spirits, power to heal and power to bring people together. At Chef'n we want to do our part to ensure that everyone has access to the tools they need in and out of the kitchen to live a healthy life.
Community Support
Nationally, we support No Child Hungry, a critical campaign to help children nationwide get the food they need every day. Locally, we are proud to support Solid Ground, a nonprofit with a mission to end poverty. We are delighted to fill the kitchens of Solid Ground-run housing with our bright and quirky Chef'n gadgets.
