I've used my new Ankarsrum a few times now. I was worried at first because I read there was a learning curve but I found it straight forward and easy. I read about which bowl and attachments to use for what baking and it seemed logical I've made bread a couple of times and it was great. Made a couple of cakes which also turned out perfectly. I'm delighted with my purchase.

When using the plastic bowl and cookie whisks butter doesn't completely mix into cookie dough, If I add oats, chocolate chips etc... to cookie batter the cookie whisks cannot mix the batter and the plastic whisks slip on the gears resulting in the plastic gears breaking. The plastic broke within first month of owning the machine.

I’ve had my Kitchen Aid stand mixer for 50 years, yes, that long. It started heating up when mixing enriched doughs. No one wants to do small kitchen appliance repairs where I live, so I decided to splurge on an Ankasrum after much research. The ordering process was straightforward and kept me informed on expected delivery date. My first test was brioche. I advise new purchasers to watch Ankasrum YouTube demos and follow them as directed. There is a learning curve from when to add dry mix to liquid. And the brioche? Fantastic! This mixer will be an heirloom passed to my granddaughter who loves to bake.
